The captain, Son Heung-min, sealed the victory for Tottenham with a goal in the 88th minute, after a great pass from Johnson.

Tottenham had a two-week break before this match, giving them time to prepare. However, they faced a tough challenge against Crystal Palace, who were boosted by their new manager, Oliver Glasner.

In the first half, he dominated possession with 82%, but they struggled to create clear goal-scoring opportunities against a well-organized Crystal Palace defense.

After halftime, Tottenham showed much better attacking intent, with Werner coming close to scoring before Son hit the post with a shot.

But he fought back strongly, thanks to Johnson’s energy and Werner’s clinical finish.

Romero’s header then put them in the lead before Son sealed the victory with a composed finish.
